US antitrust, merger bill clears House despite efforts to thwart passage

A bipartisan bill aimed at beefing up the government’s antitrust enforcement efforts cleared the US House today despite a push by a minority of Democrats and many Republicans to torpedo the measure.
The bill passed 242-184. All but 16 Democrats backed the measure, while 39 Republicans supported it.  Representative Ken Buck,
