US SEC poised to adopt Treasury market rules next week to boost oversight of proprietary firms

The US Securities and Exchange Commission is prepared to approve new rules Tuesday to expand its purview over high-frequency traders in the Treasury market.
The actions to increase Treasury market transparency follow disruptions in the world’s largest bond market amid the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic.
