US SEC cyber-related plans should be consolidated into one, industry groups say

The US Securities and Exchange Commission should consolidate three cybersecurity-related proposals into one — specifically, a plan to make broker-dealers and investment advisers notify individuals facing identity-theft risk from data breaches, industry groups said this week.
