US CFTC's Romero publicly urges heightened crypto exchange oversight after internal efforts fail

Christy Goldsmith Romero, a US Commodity Futures Trading Commission member, publicly called for strengthened supervision of cryptocurrency exchanges in the wake of FTX’s collapse – after trying unsuccessfully for months to get other commissioners to go along.
