Microsoft, Kakao's Ground 1, four other companies fined by South Korean regulator for personal data leaks

Six companies, including Microsoft and Ground 1, the blockchain subsidiary of South Korea's biggest mobile platform Kakao, were hit with a financial penalty totaling 84.4 million won (about $76,000) for having lax privacy controls that caused personal information leaks, the country’s data protection watchdog announced today.
