Homeplus loses appeal against fine, sanction imposed by South Korean antitrust regulator

South Korean retailer Homeplus failed in its bid to quash antitrust fines totaling more than $20 billion won (about $16.9 million) and corrective orders imposed by the country’s regulator in 2016 for abusing its superior bargaining position in its treatment of suppliers.
