Cyber proposals for broker-dealers, investment companies, advisers on tap from US SEC next week

The US Securities and Exchange Commission is preparing Wednesday to propose rules to strengthen cybersecurity practices among broker-dealers, investment companies and investment advisers.

These plans have been in the works for over a year, as indicated by a speech Chair Gary Gensler gave in January 2022.
