01 June 2016 00:00
In May 2016, Google and Oracle America met in a San Francisco District Court to contest a high stakes copyright trial. The trial asked whether Google's copying of Oracle's Java software when developing the Android mobile operating system was legal under the copyright doctrine of fair use.
MLex contributors were in the courtroom each day, providing regular in-depth insight into witness testimony and trial proceedings. We also published pieces providing background on the case, and exploring the possible ramifications of the verdict.
In this new free report, we've compiled a selection of our reporting and commentary from the trial. This content was previously only available to MLex Digital Risk service subscribers.
