Frank Hersey

Frank Hersey joined MLex’s London team in April 2023 to cover data privacy and security, primarily in the UK and EU. Prior to joining, he reported on digital identity, biometrics and surveillance, including the social impact of such technologies, particularly in Africa and India. He produced and hosted a podcast on legal identity. Frank covered tech and general news in China for multiple outlets and worked as a multimedia news correspondent for the BBC and, across West Africa, for France 24 and RFI. Frank has a degree in Chinese Studies from Cambridge.
