Washington autonomous vehicle bills draw public, industry interest

Competing autonomous vehicle bills, backed respectively by the industry and by labor unions, attracted extensive interest at a public hearing before the Washington State Senate.
About 20 witnesses, including industry representatives, local officials, labor advocates, plaintiff lawyers and safety experts, testified to the Committee on Transportation.
