Vermont judge sets schedule for trial in Clearview AI data-scraping case

In its suit against Clearview AI, Vermont’s attorney general is asking a state judge to find that Vermont's Consumer Protection Act can be the basis to conclude residents have a right to privacy and anonymity in public — a clear boundary between online tracking and the physical world that can’t be eroded
