US lifts tariff threat on Indian imports after withdrawal of digital services tax

The US won’t impose retaliatory tariffs on India-sourced jewelry, furniture and rice after the Indian government agreed to replace its digital service tax law with a global tax treaty struck last month at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.
