US FTC considers plan to condition more mergers on prior approval of future acquisitions

The US Federal Trade Commission is considering a policy change that could require more companies to agree to seek prior approval for future mergers in order to gain antitrust approval for a current deal.

The FTC teed up a vote on the policy change for July 21 at the second open meeting scheduled
