US FTC competition rulemaking 'legality and wisdom' questioned by Commissioner Wilson

Commissioner Christine Wilson today questioned the “legality and wisdom” of the US Federal Trade Commission engaging in competition rulemaking.
 FTC acting Chair Rebecca Slaughter last month announced the creation of a new “rulemaking group” at the agency, which in part will contemplate rulemaking to prohibit unfair methods of competition (see here). Wilson
