US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act enforcement remained strong under Trump despite prior disdain

Donald Trump called the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act a "horrible law" in 2012, but regulators in his administration have enforced the law as assertively, if not more so, than during other recent presidencies, records indicate. Some of that enforcement, however, reflected work that preceded Trump.
