US DOJ hires big bank critic Jeremy Kress as counsel

The US Justice Department’s antitrust division has hired University of Michigan Law School professor Jeremy Kress as counsel to antitrust chief Jonathan Kanter, MLex has learned. Kress has been a vocal critic of consolidation in the financial sector and joins the department at a time when significant changes to federal merger guidelines
