US chipmakers Micron, Intel, Texas Instruments wooed by European, Asian countries to build factories, Raimondo says

Germany, Singapore, Spain, France and China are pursuing American semiconductor companies Intel, Micron and Texas Instruments to build manufacturing facilities in their jurisdictions, US Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo said today at a Senate hearing on her department’s 2023 budget priorities.

The companies “want to operate in America but they cannot wait” for Congress
