Universal-TikTok licensing dispute puts AI and online safety questions center stage

Universal Music Group today started removing music from TikTok following a dispute between the pair driven in part by concerns about artificial intelligence and online safety on the video-sharing platform.
The music label, which represents artists including Taylor Swift and Drake, had a licensing deal with TikTok that expired yesterday.
