UK's CMA warns merging companies it has 'broad discretion' over jurisdiction to review deals

Merging companies shouldn’t expect their own definition of the specific category of goods or services they supply in the UK to be accepted for the purposes of the Competition and Markets Authority establishing jurisdiction to review the deal.
That was a key takeaway from updated guidance issued by the authority
