UK police trial of facial-recognition technology was fair and limited, appeal judges told (update*)

Police in Wales trialed the use of live facial recognition software fairly to identify specific individuals and without it leading to wrongful arrests or privacy complaints, judges heard today on the final day of an appeal hearing over the contentious technology.
