UK data reform won’t dilute GDPR standards, privacy watchdog tells EU lawmakers

The UK's standard of personal data protection compared with European countries won't be undermined by its post-Brexit push to reform its privacy framework, the UK's top data regulator told EU lawmakers in response to concerns about the future of the UK's adequacy status and the independence of his office.
