Tyson, Pilgrim’s Pride get preliminary approval for settlements of US chicken price-fixing claims

US meatpackers Tyson and Pilgrim’s Pride received preliminary federal court approval of settlements with a direct purchaser class accusing them of fixing the prices of broiler chickens.
The settlements total $155 million, with Tyson set to pay out $80 million and Pilgrim’s Pride to pay $75 million (see here). US
