Top-flight Belgian football club loses antitrust relegation fight after Covid-19 ended season

Belgian football club Waasland-Beveren has seen the country’s antitrust authority reject its complaint against relegation after an early end to the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Waasland-Beveren is one of several teams in Europe turning to antitrust rules in a bid to avoid relegation or secure a spot in lucrative European competitions
