Subsidiaries of Japan's NTT West receive corrective recommendations for data breach involving 9.3 million customers

Japan's privacy regulator said today that the personal information of 9.28 million individuals was illegally copied and possibly provided to third parties from NTT Marketing and NTT Business Solutions, which are subsidiaries of  Nippon Telegraph and Telephone West, or NTT West, by a temporary former staff member (see here).
