Stripe argument for dismissal of privacy allegations gets skeptical reception from US judge

A federal judge in California voiced skepticism today over whether online payment processor Stripe can rely on disclosures from a partner company’s privacy policy to gain legal consent to collect, analyze and disclose consumer data for the purpose of preventing fraud.
