Standard General, Tegna threaten US court challenge to constitutionality of FCC's ALJs if agency doesn't act on deal

Standard General and Tegna have asked the US Federal Communications Commission to waive commission rules and issue an expedited ruling on their application for transfer licenses, citing an apparent violation of the US Constitution that they say would void the need for an administrative hearing.

The parties will seek judicial relief
