Spanish bank BBVA fined EUR1.2 million for GDPR security failings

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria has been hit with a 1.2 million euro ($1.3 million) General Data Protection Regulation fine in Spain for security failings. 
The Spanish Data Protection Agency issued two separate penalties against the bank, one of Europe’s largest, after a customer suffered identity theft (see here).
