Social media giants seek extensions to comply with India's new IT rules

Social media platforms in India are seeking extensions to the deadline, which falls today, to comply with tough new intermediary rules set by the government. Sources told MLex that the industry is confident an extension would be granted and that it’s unlikely the platforms would immediately lose protections that prevent them
