Singapore passes law to fight 'foreign interference' with social-media controls

Singapore’s parliament last night passed a law giving the government broad powers to compel social-media platforms and other relevant tech companies to help authorities fight hostile information campaigns from foreign entities. 

The Foreign Interference (Countermeasures) Act, or FICA, first tabled in parliament three weeks ago (see here), updates the country’s political donations act
