Shell, Eni cut free from Nigeria bribery charges in Italy as prosecutor abandons appeal

Oil majors Shell and Eni won't face a challenge over their acquittal of foreign bribery charges in an Italian court last year, after prosecutors in Milan withdrew the case today.

The city's deputy attorney general, Celestina Gravina, who was appointed to handle the appeal, abandoned the criminal case pending at the Appeal
