Setting earlier EU target for vehicle CO2 reduction is unacceptable, environment lawmakers say

Bringing forward a CO2 emissions reduction target for new EU vehicles by five years would be unacceptable, lawmakers on the European Parliament's environment committee said today, in a rebuke to the legislator leading on the file in the committee and indicating a challenge ahead to establish a united position on the file.
