Russian asset-seizure bid rejected by UK government

A new law that would have seen Russian state assets seized and used to reconstruct Ukraine has been rejected by the UK government today.
Opposition Labour Party legislator Chris Bryant proposed new measures to capture money frozen in the UK following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which began a year ago.
