Reforms to Section 232 tariff-exclusions program adopted, US Commerce chief tells Senate appropriators

The US Commerce Department has taken steps to change the steel and aluminum tariff-exclusion process as suggested by an internal watchdog that found potentially improper practices, Secretary Wilbur Ross told Senate appropriators today. 

“We are adhering to those,” Ross said, responding to an inquiry from Senator Jerry Moran, chairman of the Senate Appropriations
