Real Madrid's land-deal windfall draws renewed state-aid scrutiny from EU regulator

Real Madrid's land transactions with the Madrid city council are facing renewed scrutiny from the EU's state aid regulator in the wake of judges striking down an order for the football club to repay millions of euros. 

In 2016, the European Commission found that the club received 18.4 million euros ($22 million today)
