Qualcomm and EU regulator clash in court over ‘sacrifice’ strategy in chip pricing

An EU antitrust sanction over Qualcomm’s pricing strategy for UMTS chipsets failed to meet the required legal standard and disregarded official guidance on dominance-abuse cases, the company told EU judges today.
