PKN Orlen-Lotos merger approval wasn't based on flawed EU probe, court rules

PKN Orlen’s takeover of rival oil refiner Lotos wasn't wrongly reviewed by EU merger regulators who went on to approve it, judges at the bloc's lower-tier court said today.
They dismissed an appeal by Polwax, which alleged the European Commission had incorrectly assessed the market for slack wax.
