Philippine Covid-19 data-breach probes to prioritize remedial measures over fines

The Philippines' privacy commission will prioritize remedial measures over penalties as it probes 17 Covid-19-related personal data-breach notifications affecting 154 individuals, according to a spokesperson for the regulator. 
The notifications, received between March 15 and April 23, included seven from personal information controllers at healthcare institutions.
