Parker Hannifin amends Meggitt deal in bid for EU approval

Parker Hannifin has offered to amend its buyout of British defense and aerospace rival Meggitt, in a bid to win EU clearance for the 6.3 billion-pound ($8.6 billion) deal. The European Commission responded by extending its deadline to decide on the acquisition to April 11.
