OpenAI, GitHub AI coding tool reproduced developers’ code, warranting monetary damages, US judge rules

Software developers suing OpenAI, Microsoft and GitHub over copyright claims have shown evidence that the companies’ artificial intelligence-based coding tool reproduced the developers’ licensed code that warrants monetary damages, a US judge ruled.
