Nvidia-Arm deal blocked by US FTC, remedies didn’t address concerns

The US Federal Trade Commission has filed an administrative complaint challenging US chipmaker Nvidia’s acquisition of British chip designer Arm. The complaint alleges the deal would harm competition in three worldwide markets in which Nvidia competes using Arm-based products. Remedies offered by Nvidia fell short of addressing the agency’s concerns.
