New Zealand supermarkets back industry code but say competition probe overstates profitability

New Zealand supermarket operators including Woolworths New Zealand and Foodstuffs have rejected data modeling used by the country’s competition regulator in its ongoing probe of the industry.

In submissions to the New Zealand Commerce Commission published today, the supermarket operators said the regulator had overstated their profitability and failed to show a reduction
