New CADE Councilor Augusto tends to intervene 'little' in merger cases

The Brazilian competition authority's newest councilor, Gustavo Augusto, told MLex in an interview that he is a "liberal" and tends to intervene "little" in merger cases.

"Generally speaking, I tend to intervene little. Of course, sometimes remedies are technically necessary, but companies will grow, and they must be increasingly prepared to compete globally,"
