Mixed spending for US privacy, antitrust agencies in Senate committee proposal

There’s a mixed windfall for key US privacy and antitrust agencies in Senate Appropriations Committee proposals for federal spending during the current federal fiscal year.

In bills released today, the Republican-controlled committee proposed annual spending of $331 million for the Federal Trade Commission and $188.5 million for the Department of Justice's antitrust division
