Microsoft seeks EU approval for $19.7 billion Nuance deal

Microsoft has filed its $19.7 billion acquisition of Nuance Communications to the European Commission for approval.
The EU regulator has set an initial Dec. 21 deadline to decide on the deal.

Nuance is a US provider of speech-recognition software used by doctors to dictate notes and to transcribe conversations
