Meta Platforms to see EU data transfers case settled by GDPR dispute-resolution procedure

A long-awaited decision on EU-to-US data transfers by Meta Platforms' apps Facebook and Instagram will be escalated for resolution by the umbrella group of EU data protection authorities.

A spokesperson for the Irish Data Protection Commission, which is leading the case because Meta has its European headquarters in Dublin, said today
