Meta has been found guilty in Brazil of a 2021 data breach involving 533 million people from 106 countries, including 8 million Brazilians.
In a decision by a state court in Maranhão, Meta's Facebook was ordered to pay compensation for collective "moral" damages of 72 million reais ($13.93 million),
