Massachusetts facial-recognition limitations on police face opposition from governor

The Republican governor of Massachusetts today declined to sign a police reform bill that limits state agency use of facial recognition, instead proposing that the technology be further studied.
The statehouse this month sent Governor Charlie Baker a police reform package that included a prohibition on most state public agencies
