Major banks handled Nigerian funds looted by Abacha, court documents show; return of money begins

Deutsche Bank and HSBC held $311 million, looted by deceased Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha, that's being returned from Jersey to Nigeria under a repatriation agreement, court documents show. However, the US Justice Department said it's still seeking to return, as per a US judge's 2014 order, $177 million frozen in France
