Macao developer who bribed UN officials sprung from US prison over variant fears

A Macao developer who bribed United Nations officials was ordered released from prison early, after a US judge found the federal prison housing him too dangerous in the pandemic.

Ng Lap Seng, convicted in 2017 after a crackdown on UN-centered corruption, can return to his native Macao, US District Judge Vernon Broderick said
