Liberty Global-Sunrise deal revives a merger approved in Switzerland, but vice-versa

Liberty Global’s swoop for Swiss telecom operator Sunrise Communications would resurrect a combination that was approved the other way round by Swiss competition officials 11 months ago, yet rejected by shareholders.
